DANA is still here

We will be unleashing DANA to the school coming this Monday

In rememberance of Dana Smith, who is leaving USC for his own architectural pursuits, we will be posting his face just about everywhere. He was one of our school's most valued staff and should be remembered because whether or not you knew him, he most definitely had a gigantic influence on you through the school.

We have a file of his face and will be printing them out in various sizes for distribution, wearing, and pasting on the walls. We were hoping to have some large plots to post up, masks which we could wear around, and small faces to put on everyone's desk and teacher's mailboxes.

We will all have to pull together to make this possible without spending money. I will distribute the file through email and we can all print out 50 or so small ones and a mask for yourself and maybe another mask to give to someone else. We can use clipper for plotting the larger ones. Since monday will be the first day without him, I feel this is a great time to show our support.

We will also be having a documentation team to start our records of our acts in and around the school. Giving as how this is the first of many, lets do it with style and a good attitude.

As well as all of the printouts, we will place a small blurb on the back of the prints and on the large plots saying we will all meet at a certain time, probably after studio monday to gather with prints and masks in rememberance of Dana. Hopefully we will gather a large group and take some amazing pictures for us, as well as to send to Dana to show our support.

If there are more ideas or questions, send them to milholla@usc.edu
